# Changing a user's personal details

To change a user's details, go to Users in this organization and click on the person in question. Then select Change details. You will see here whether there are details available for you to modify.
## Restrictions on changing details
Changing personal details such as a user's name and email address is only possible to a limited extent for an administrator. Once a user has activated the account, they are solely responsible for managing their own information. From that point on, the user can only change their personal details themselves in their personal settings.
