We aim to be transparent about the use of AI powered features in our platform. We use AI powered features in accordance with the European AI Act. All of our current features are classified as 'limited risk', which means they may be freely used, as long as it is clear to the user that an AI model is used.

On this page, we provide more information about each of the available AI features.

Speech-to-text Feedback Processing

Please note that this feature is still in a testing phase, and may not be available to you yet.

This feature allows the user to record the audio of a conversation between a student and their educator. The audio is processed into a transcript, after which the app gives suggestions for form entries, such as positive points and points for improvement.

How is data processed and stored?

Audio is recorded first on the device of the user, after which it is sent to a third party processor. The third party processor is Juvoly, a Dutch party that specializes in speech recognition for medical applications. They use their own hardware and trained models, to ensure maximum quality and privacy. No data is shared outside the EU. Juvoly is ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified.

During the current testing phase, we store a copy of both the audio and the transcript for a maximum of 30 days, to check the quality of the output and properly respond to user feedback. It is our intention to not store any data longer than necessary once the feature is published.

How can I control the use of this AI feature?

The feature is in addition to the existing form features, which means there is no obligation to use this feature. Furthermore, the feature is designed in such a way, that the user always checks all suggestions and actively chooses to enter a suggestion into the form ('human in the loop'). In other words, we do not store information in your portfolio that you haven't approved.
