Skills in Reconcept
Skills form the backbone of every portfolio in Reconcept. Recorded learning activities such as feedback and assessments are linked to skills to provide evidence for the development of the learner.
Different types of skills
Depending on the training program, Reconcept can contain various types of skills. A skill can be the mastery of a professional situation such as an EPA, a specific technical skill such as a procedure, or a personal soft skill. The assessment scale and available forms may differ per skill type and subject, but they function conceptually in the same way. When we mention skills, you can also read more specific terms like EPA, procedure, or competency.
Recording entrustment levels
The common denominator between skills is that the entrustment level of the learner can be recorded for each skill in Reconcept. This is done by means of a certificate of entrustment. Assessments and other forms can be linked to skills, making it clear what the learner has done to develop in that specific area.
Status and color coding
We use color coding to indicate the status of a skill. The color green is used when the entrustment level is independent. For lower levels of independence, yellow is used. The color green does not necessarily mean that the training requirement has been met: it is possible that the requirement for completing the training is lower than independent. The color coding therefore refers to the degree of independence in practice and not necessarily to meeting the training requirements.

Themes and organization
In addition to skills, the portfolio may contain other subjects that are not assessed individually, but which provide a useful categorization of the gained experience, such as medical-thematic topics.
