Permissions per person per role
A supervisor is given a standard role by the organization that gives them permissions in your portfolio. These can be:

Not every role has all permissions. To see exactly what privileges someone has in your portfolio, click on the pencil icon that will appear when you place your cursor on an user. Permissions per role are determined by the program and you cannot change them.
Upgrading roles: In some cases, you yourself can "upgrade" a role for your portfolio to give a supervisor additional privileges. Click on the pencil icon behind the name of your supervisor, then his/her role, and select the other role if available. This is the case, for example, with a trainer who is your residency supervisor.
